Special HK Police Unit Wows Internet With Manly Good Looks While Out On Patrol

While Hongkongers thronged the streets last Thursday (Oct 31) for Halloween, some men in uniform were getting more stares than the trick-or-treaters.

In a video posted online, groups of police were seen keeping the peace along the streets of Lan Kwa Fong as they patrolled past the barricades used for crowd control.

But these aren’t your everyday ‘Ah Sirs’. They are the Counter Terrorism Response Unit (CTRU), an elite branch of the Hong Kong Police Force.

Formed in 2022, they are a tactical unit of specialising in hostage rescue patrols.

What many netizens realised were how effortlessly handsome and imposing these officers looked and quickly took to the Internet to share their thirstiness.

“I need to be rescued from the scary crowd, please help me!” read a comment while another asked, “Can I switch my boyfriend to one of you?”

One even promised to "brave the New Year Eve crowds just for them."

It seems there are people in dire need of an intervention.

Some netizens even commented that the regular police officers looked out of place next to their hunkier colleagues.

“Some of the pot-bellied, uncle-looking police that night must have felt very uncomfortable when standing next to these tall and imposing figures,” read a comment.

Who knows, maybe these elite forces will inspire them to get their fitness back?
