Korean Footballer Cho Gue Sung AKA Player No 9 Looks Super Hot On The Cover Of Vogue Korea
“Number nine??? More like number mine,” wrote one netizen.
World Cup fever may be over, but many eyes are still on South Korean striker Cho Gue Sung.
The 24-year-old footballer captured the attention of World Cup fans not just for his skills on the field but for how handsome he looked while doing all that.
Clips of Gue Sung went viral on social media, and 'Player No 9' — that's his jersey number — became a trending topic after South Korea's inspiring run at the World Cup.
The footballer, who plays as forward for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, has only seven posts on his Instagram account, but already boasts a whopping 2.9mil followers.
Prior to the World Cup, he had just 20K followers.
And from scoring at the World Cup to scoring one of the fashion world's most desired achievements.
Gue Sung recently graced the cover of Vogue Korea, in which he showed off his super ripped physique on two separate photos.
And of course, fans swooned at the sight.
“Is it Cho Gue Sung's first magazine cover???? AND IT’S FOR VOGUE?????” gushed one netizen, while another wrote: “Number nine??? More like number mine”.
It was also noted by some netizens that Gue Sung is the second non-celeb to be on the cover of Vogue Korea, with the first being two-time Olympic figure skating medalist, Yuna Kim.
Gue Sung’s cover shoot also drew some cheeky comments from his teammates, with midfielder Lee Kang In writing: “This isn’t the Hyung I know??? Why did you change [into someone else]?”
It was Gue Sung’s first time at the World Cup but he already made history. He became the first South Korean footballer to score two goals in a single World Cup match, a feat he achieved during their game against Ghana.
Gue Sung is not just popular amongst football fans though.
He will appear in an upcoming episode of Korean reality program, I Live Alone, and is set to guest star on Yoo Jae Suk’s quiz talk show, You Quiz on The Block.
