Korean Star Song Ji Hyo’s New Lingerie Brand Is Off To A Slow Start & “Only Gets 1 Or 2 Orders A Day”
It’s never easy starting a new business, even when you’re a celebrity.

Korean actress Song Ji Hyo, 43, best known for being a regular cast member of popular long-running variety show, Running Man, launched her own lingerie brand Nina.Ssong just two months ago in December. Sadly, it seems like business has not been brisk.
The star mentioned in an interview that she had spent close to eight years preparing for the launch of her brand, Nina.Ssong, which sells lingerie and sleepwear for women.
She modelled the pieces for the brand launch, which naturally got people's attention.
However, Ji Hyo’s Running Man co-star Yoo Jae Suk, revealed on a recent ep of the variety show that Ji Hyo "only gets one or two orders a day", and that "she’s been very anxious [about it]".
The other cast members had words of encouragement for her. Co-star Haha said: “That’s how it is at the start. You have to wait it out.” Other members of the cast cheered her on and told her to “hold on and get through it”.
Smiling, Ji Hyo then declared: “I will work hard!”
Haha added that her launch photos for the brand had gone viral, and joked that she should do a photoshoot in the outfit she had on for the episode. What was she wearing? Well, scroll on to find out.
This discussion about Ji Hyo's new brand sparked discussion amongst Korean netizens. While many acknowledged Ji Hyo's hard work and cheered her on, there were also some who felt like the lingerie pieces were “slightly too expensive”.
According to the Nina.Ssong website, the price of a bra ranges from 43,000won (S$40) to 52,000won (S$48) — not the cheapest, but not exactly exorbitant, if you ask us.
There were also some netizens who complained that the pieces “weren’t even made in Korea”, with one saying “people will only buy what they want to wear”.
