Like Singapore, Taiwan has been seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases. For the first time since the start of the pandemic last year, it raised its COVID-19 alert to Level 3 across the island on Wednesday (May 19) after 267 locally transmitted cases were recorded. It now has more than 1,200 local infections in five days.

However, it seems some people there are still taking the situation lightly.
