Single’s Inferno Contestants Who've Starred In K-Dramas Before They Were Looking For Love On The Island

If you thought the cast of Single’s Inferno season five just magically appeared on a beach to look hot and cause chaos, think again.

A surprising number of contestants have acting credits. From blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameos to substantial drama roles.

If looking for a partner on a beach leads to a drama lead role later, that might just be the most efficient career strategy in Korean entertainment now.

Choi Mina Sue, 26

Before turning heads on the Netflix reality dating show, Choi Mina Sue had cameos as blind dates on DNA Lover (2024) and Law and the City (2025). She is set to star in Melo Movie alongside Choi Woo Shik and Park Bo Young.

Wong Sung Min aka Woo Ki Hoon, 30

Long before reality fame, Sung Min was grinding through acting gigs between 2015 and 2018, appearing in dramas like Your Heart and Twelve Nights where he played supporting roles.

He eventually stepped away from the entertainment industry to take over his family’s optical business.

Jo I Geon, 33

If there’s one contestant who feels like he walked straight out of a K-drama and accidentally landed on a reality show, it is Jo I Geon.

Signed under Big Boss Entertainment, he has appeared in The Trunk (2024) where he played the "contract husband" of Lee Seo-yeon  and a supporting role in Someday of Me (2025).

Park Hae Lin, 26

Still a film arts student at Sejong University, Park Hae Lin proves that juggling classes, being 'stranded' on an island, and K-dramas is very much possible.

She has already appeared in two 2024 dramas.

In Tarot, she played a snack bar owner, even sharing a scene with Single's Inferno host Dex, who played a food delivery worker in the same series.

In When the Silver Bell Rings, Hae Lin played the younger version of the main character.

Lim Su Bin, 24

Primarily known as a model and resembling Korean actor Song Joong Ki, Lim Su Bin has also dipped his toes in acting.

In 2025, he appeared in short-form drama A Head's Coach's Turnover as part of the main cast, though it was a minor role.

While it may not be a primetime blockbuster yet, short-form dramas are heating up, gaining millions of views online.
