Remember homegrown rocker Huang Yida? Once dubbed a “male Stefanie Sun”, the singer, who is known for noughties hits like ‘She Told Me’, got fans all excited when he updated his social media after a long absence.

On New Year’s Day, the 41-year-old took to Weibo to wish fans a “Happy 2021” and also updated his profile pic with a recent selfie.

Though his face was covered by a mask, what is obvious is that he has stripped away his androgynous image and long, shaggy hair, replacing the latter with a crew cut.
