Show Luo Ordered To Demolish Illegal Rooftop Swimming Pool After Neighbours Report Him For Flouting Building Regulations
Guess no more rooftop pool parties at his S$12.6mil penthouse.

On November 30, Taiwanese media outlet Liberty Times ran an exclusive report claiming that Taiwanese star Show Luo flouted building regulations by constructing an open-air swimming pool on his rooftop.
The 41-year-old owns a NT$270mil (S$12.6mil) penthouse on the two highest floors of the Wenxin AIT development in Neihu, Taipei and it appears that his little renovation project might have ruffled a few feathers among his neighbours.

Wonder which unit reported Show to the authorities
According to Liberty Times, his neighbours were not pleased with Show’s plans to build an open-air swimming pool, causing renovation works to be suspended temporarily after the building management intervened.
When the media reached out to Show’s manager, she replied that that they were just planning to do “basic rooftop patio landscaping work, it’s all in compliance with the building regulations”.

Things aren't looking so good for him
Taipei’s Building Administration Office also confirmed that Show had applied for a permit to conduct interior renovation at his Wenxin AIT units, and that he had also applied for an end-of-renovation inspection in end-October. However, the office has not heard anything about the construction of a swimming pool on the rooftop.
So the very next day, the authorities sent staff down to conduct an inspection, where they found that Show had indeed flouted the rules.

They later released a statement on their website sharing that they found a half-constructed swimming pool on said apartment building’s rooftop, which was against building regulations, since Show did not apply for the necessary permit.
In order to construct a rooftop swimming pool, Show needed to apply for a miscellaneous permit, and have an architect in-charge of the entire project. And of course, construction can only start after the necessary permits have been obtained.

So now what?
Show has since been ordered to demolish the swimming pool within 30 days, failing which, the authorities will step in to demolish it and Show will be forced to pay the fees.
Yikes.
