The stars of Song Hye Kyo's hit Netflix drama The Glory have been thrust into the spotlight ever since the show became an international hit.

Its supporting cast has also gained a lot of attention, like 25-year-old actress Shin Ye Eun, who played the teen version of queen bee Park Yeon Jin, who along with her gang of bullies, made Hye Kyo’s Moon Dong Eun’s life a living hell.

Ye Eun nailed her role as the mean girl everyone loved to hate. Who can forget that evil smirk, right?

Ye Eun recently revealed on variety show The Manager that while she's been praised for her “scary” portrayal of Yeon Jin, it was a challenging experience for her.

The bullying scenes, like the ones where she had to burn Moon Dong Eun with a hair curling iron, were particularly difficult to shoot.

"Though I knew it was all acting and fictional, there were times when I would come out of the character while filming. I knew the hair tongs were cold but when I saw my co-star crying in pain, I would think 'What am I doing?' and it would end up being a no-good take,” she shared.

In fact, she was so affected by how dark character got that she had trouble sleeping.

“I couldn't sleep without earplugs because I got so worked up and I would have nightmares,” she said.

Ye Eun also noted that when the drama was first released, she received hate messages from viewers on social media and lost many followers as a result.
