“She Is A Role Model For Mums”: Says Friend Of Taiwanese Star Makiyo Who Is Seen Partying It Up 2 Months After Giving Birth

Taiwanese star Makiyo, 38, has been in the news a lot ever since she announced her shotgun marriage to Taiwanese businessman Mr Jin, 35.
Just last month, she openly shamed her husband in a live stream only five days after giving birth to their son. She had complained about his bad behaviour, like leaving their newborn baby under the aircon duct and smoking in the confinement centre.
Earlier this week, Makiyo made headlines again after her friend, Taiwanese influencer Tiffany Chen, posted a video of her drinking and partying away in a karaoke lounge.
In her post, Makiyo's friend raved about the new mum, writing: "Getting so high immediately after she's freed from her confinement after C-section! She is a role model for mums. [You] can still enjoy and be happy even with a kid to prevent postpartum depression."
In the video, Makiyo and her friend could be seen dancing to Sammi Cheng's hit song 'Mei Fei Se Wu'. In the background was bottles of hard liquor.
At one point, Makiyo said: "Freedom! Is it important? Important! The most important thing now is freedom!"
She also repeatedly asked her friends to drink more alcohol, saying: "Who didn't drink? Come, come, come, let me check!"
Those who are familiar with Makiyo would know she has a love-hate relationship with drinking.
Back in 2012, Makiyo and her Japanese friend Takateru Tomoyori were charged for assaulting a 56-year-old Taipei taxi driver while drunk.
At that time, Makiyo vowed to never drink again.
However, just two years after that, she was spotted drunk at a friend's wedding dinner.
She reportedly went on stage and shouted, “We finished all the wine today!” and was so drunk she almost fell off the stage.
When asked about her vow to swear off alcohol, Makiyo said she started drinking again at her mum's birthday that year.
"I am able to control my alcohol intake better now, but because I can’t hold my liquor as well as before, I got drunk after drinking just three glasses of red wine. Since it was a friend’s wedding yesterday, I was very happy and hence drank a little," she explained.
