Schoolboys In England Rap Battle In Mandarin, And It's So Entertaining
Yes, Caucasian kids 'dissing' each other in Mandarin.

Last month, Hertfordshire-based independent school Berkhamsted Boys School held their virtual open house event.
To promote the foreign languages offered by the school, they shared a short IG clip of year seven (between 11 to 12-year-old) students having a rap battle in Mandarin. Yes, ang moh kids 'dissing' each other in Mandarin.
We all know what to expect from a regular rap battle: plays on rhymes and puns, and slinging insults at the other party.
There was no such thing in the Berkhamsted Boys version. In fact, it was the most PG rap battles we’ve ever seen.
The first kid started with: “What does your dad like to eat?”
He was then met with the reply: “My dad likes to eat rice!”
The boys also tried to incorporate an aggressive tone into their raps and would also erupt in a collective “Ohhhhh!” after each ‘retort’, which made the battle so much funnier.
Other standout moments included a boy who said “My hobby is playing football!” when challenged to say what his interests were.
He had so much swag, and the cheers from the other kids would have you thinking that he just served a scalding insult.
According to the IG caption, the boys only started learning Mandarin 10 months ago.
“Some of them started off a little nervous but the cheering from their classmates really helped to build their confidence,” read the caption.
Our favourite line from the clip? It was when this one kid said his line with perfect timing: “Your mum! …How old is she?”
NGL, he almost had us fooled with that opening.
Here's the clip, so you can be as entertained as we were.
