Her daughter Jillian definitely seems very keen on a showbiz career.

Sandra Ng Says She Doesn't Mind Her 16-Year-Old Daughter, Who Looks All Grown Up Now, Entering Showbiz

Hongkong comedienne Sandra Ng has a 16-year-old daughter, Jillian, with her longtime partner, Hongkong director Peter Chan, 59.

The 56-year-old actress recently reposted a picture of herself with Jillian - who rarely makes an appearance on Sandra's socials - and netizens simply can't get over how grown up the latter looks now.

Yup, that's Sandra and Jillian right there

In the picture, mother and daughter were seen hugging each other, with Sandra wearing a white top and some humongous pearls around her neck.

While we could barely see Jillian's face, the teen was donning a body-hugging gown (remember the time when Hongkong Media were calling her a “Leggy Beauty” when she was just 14?).

Looking good, Jillian

And she probably has momma to thank for those assets.

According to Hongkong media, Sandra, who gave birth to Jillian at 41, is extremely strict with her daughter, who's reportedly not allowed to eat snacks or have carbonated drinks.

Yet despite her "tiger mum" reputation, the actress once revealed in an interview that she and Jillian are actually more like "friends".

"[You] can't go head to head [with her]," says the actress, who acknowledges that her daughter is old enough to have a mind of her own. (Um, but still no snacks and sweet drinks?)

But did you know that Sandra and Peter initially had no intentions to have a child?

The couple, who's been together since 1996, once made the agreement to not get married nor have kids. But things changed for Sandra and Peter, who are still unwedded to date, when the actress turned 39.

Back then, Peter told Sandra: "You're pushing 40, there's not much time left, [we] have to seriously think about [our future]." Peter's words prompted Sandra to have a change of heart, and the actress gave birth to Jillian in 2006 when she was 41.

Another second gen star in the making?

With both her parents in the industry, will the teenager be venturing into showbiz too?

Sandra is leaving it all up to Jillian - and it looks like the latter is totally up for it.

In fact, Jillian, who probably inherited some of her mother's star qualities, took on a cameo role in the 2021 Hongkong film Zero To Hero. She also volunteered to be an extra in Sandra's new movie Chilli Laugh Story.

It was said that Jillian - who wasn't given any lines for her one-second scene in the movie - even took the liberty to give herself some lines on the spot.
