Sandra Ng Has Maintained Her Weight At 45kg For The Past 15 Years; Here’s How She Does It
She still has three meals a day but there's a twist to it.
When Sandra Ng, now 57, was pregnant with her daughter, Jillian Chan, 16 years ago, she weighed 67kg at her heaviest.
The 1.64m-tall star quickly lost 22kg after giving birth, and believe it or not, has managed to maintain her 45kg weight all these years.
So how does she do it?
According to Sandra, she took tips from American writer Harvey Diamond’s book, Fit For Life, which details how one’s diet shouldn't be restricted to certain quantities or preparation styles.
She eats large servings of vegetables every day, and doesn't consume meats and carbs at the same time.
Basically, if Sandra were to have large amounts of carbs for a meal, she has to stay away from all meats, including fish and other animal byproducts such as eggs.
Sandra, who said there's no need for her to skip any meals, also shared that she waits a minimum of four hours between every meal and doesn’t snack in between or consume any alcohol.
Sandra also swears by her friend Sammi Cheng’s healthy vegetable soup, which she said is not only yummy and nutritious but requires little effort and time to prepare.
During a previous appearance on a show, Sandra said that while one’s face will age, she can still train her body to stay at its best condition.
In order to remain fit, she spends her mornings with her partner, director Peter Chan hiking, riding bicycles, swimming and training in the gym.
