Sammi Cheng Accidentally Uses Silicone Bra Cleaner As Make-Up Remover, Eyes Turn Bloodshot

The singer reached for the wrong bottle in a moment of carelessness.

It’s only February and Hong Kong pop diva Sammi Cheng’s 2024 has already been wrought with mishaps.

At the start of the year, the 51-year-old went on a Hokkaido trip with some friends and as soon as she boarded the plane, she began vomiting.

When she arrived in Japan, she received news that her mother had been hospitalised due to illness, so she quickly ended her "day trip" and returned to Hong Kong.

Recently, Sammi gave her followers a scare when she took to Instagram Stories to share a snap of her bloodshot eyes.

It turns out that she had mistakenly used her silicone bra cleanser as make-up remover and the solution caused severe irritation when it got into her eyes.

“My eyes went bloodshot, and I immediately flushed them out with water and eye drops. Fortunately, the situation improved the next day,” she said.

She explained that as the two bottles looked alike and were placed next to each other, she reached for the wrong one “in a moment of carelessness”.

"Sharing this incident as a gentle reminder to everyone to be careful and avoid making the same mistake as me,” wrote Sammi, adding that she has since stored the two bottles separately.

She's keeping the bottles as far apart as possible
