Sammi Cheng’s Pre-Loved Clothes In Demand After She's Seen Putting Them In Recycling Bin
Oh what we would give to go through the pop icon's clothes.
We are days away from the Lunar New Year, and yes, even the stars are spring cleaning.
In an Instagram Reel, Cantopop diva Sammi Cheng shows herself depositing pieces of clothing into a recycling bin before heaving a breathless sigh of... relief? Or is it reluctance?
The 51-year-old wrote that after many years, she finally decided to tidy up a closet filled with her clothes at her parent’s place.
After many days of organising, she “put the carefully selected pieces of clothing together” to be recycled.
She also shared that “putting [the clothes] into recycling bins gives [her] a sense of joy after all that hard work”.

Sammi added that she hopes her clothes would be donated to those in need.
Keeping in mind the people sorting out the garments, she also advised anyone who uses these recycling bins not to use plastic bags to avoid increasing their workload.
Of course, the reel caught the attention of many netizens who naturally wanted a piece of Sammi’s wardrobe.
“I really want to wear your old clothes”, wrote one user.
Another wrote that “there may be crazy fans who will raid the recycling bin” for a piece of Sammi.
One even advised the singer on how she should have disposed of her clothes. “A charity sale is more meaningful because I heard that many of these recycling bins are used by people to make money.”
We say her clothes, her decision.
Looking at how breathless is Sammi after spring cleaning, we hope she had some help.
She's been out of the spotlight for more than seven months since contracting long Covid symptoms in May 2023. She was forced to cancel multiple concerts for her You & Mi Sammi Cheng World Tour.
