Sammi Cheng And Louis Koo Distribute Medical Supplies & Food To The Needy
Fighting the pandemic, one good deed at a time.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, celebrities around the world have been stepping up to aid relief efforts in curbing the spread of the virus.
Hongkong veteran star Liza Wang, for example, donated boxes of anti-pandemic supplies to frontline staff and temples while Taiwanese singer-actress Annie Yi shipped over 1,000 protective suits to hospitals all over China.

Now, Sammi Cheng, Louis Koo, former Miss Hongkong Lee Sansan and Hongkong billionaire Joseph Lau’s wife Kimbee Chan have joined forces (again!) to give back to society. This is the fourth time they are working together to distribute supplies such as masks and lunch bentos to the elderly and needy in Hongkong, according to Chinese news reports. The quartet yesterday (Apr 27) uploaded pictures of their day out.
Let's fight this together
“Let’s fight the epidemic together and love each other. Together, we remain positive!” Louis wrote on his socials, along with a pic of the four of them holding up notes of encouragement.
Sammi wrote: “This time, we have Louis and Kimbee with us. With four people, we are four times more efficient! It’s been a meaningful day. Helping people feels like helping myself, and my soul is deeply touched again. Thank you everyone who I met today. Life is not easy. Everyone’s burdened by the current situation. I hope there will be fewer and fewer cases [of Covid-19] around the world. Let’s all hope for the best tomorrow.” The 47-year-old star added that she “went home immediately” after “completing the task”.
Sammi giving out face masks previously
Both Louis and Sammi are no stranger to charity work.
Not only did the 49-year-old actor's charity foundation donate over 1.3 million masks to those in need, he also ensured he protected the livelihood of his restaurant’s employees by keeping their jobs and their salaries despite COVID-19.
As for Sammi, she revealed last month that she has been volunteering with a social welfare agency since mid-February, and has been delivering welfare packages to the less privileged on a weekly basis.
