Former actress Rosamund Kwan, who was once called “Hong Kong’s number one beauty”, celebrated her 60th birthday last month (Sep 24).

Rosamund retired from showbiz in 2007 and now lives in a S$28mil apartment in Tregunter Towers, a luxurious building complex in Victoria Peak, Hong Kong.

The former actress has had two major breakups. She divorced her financial service mogul husband in 1982, and in 2015, she broke up with Taiwanese art collector and businessman Pierre Chen in 2015 after eight years together.

Following her retirement, Rosamund has been living a life of leisure and is often seen hanging out with friends and going on vacation

Recently, Rosamund shared that she has teamed up with famed auction house Christie's to auction off more than S$18mil worth of jewellery from her personal collection, proceeds of which will go to charity.

After many years of savvy financial and real estate investments, Rosamund is considered to be one of the wealthiest female celebs in Hong Kong, and has an estimated net worth of S$94.5mil. And so it's not surprising that she has amassed an expensive and expansive jewellery collection.

The 51 pieces up for auction come from luxury brands such as Cartier, Buccellati, Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Louis Vuitton and Boghossian.

One of the most expensive pieces of jewellery is a 12.64 carat ruby and diamond ring from Boghossian. It's estimated worth? Between S$4mil to S$6.4mil.

In a video to announce the auction, Rosamund said that the pieces "are elegant and suitable for every day wear, and some are worth passing on a legacy".

She also said that post pandemic, she wants to dedicate more time to “learning and focusing on the environment and society, as well as helping communities in need”.

Many netizens have since praised Rosamund for being a “beauty with a good heart”. Donnie Yen’s wife, former beauty queen Cissy Wang, also took to Rosamund’s comment section to applaud her.
