Riders Get Stuck On Viral ‘Slide To Nowhere’ In JB Mall
We were excited to have a go… until we saw people getting stuck.
By now you would have probably heard about the viral ‘slide to nowhere’ at Paradigm Mall across the Causeway.
The entrance to the fibreglass structure is located on the fifth floor of the JB mall and snakes down vertically before suddenly terminating between the second and third floors.
That would leave riders at six meters above the ground level.
However, it seems the attraction has been plagued with issues since opening to the public.
Videos of riders getting stuck halfway were posted online, with one woman even seen halting at the end of the slide and refusing to jump down to the giant safety net.
Someone, presumably a staffer had to push her off, gaining applause from curious onlookers.
Did no one test to see if the slide works?
Or… did they not dare to?
Previously, it was reported to be incomplete with many snickering at how riders will end up straight into frozen yoghurt shop Ilao Ilao on the lower floor.
Netizens couldn’t help but laugh at the slip-ups with some saying, “These riders were paying to be embarrassed by everyone watching”.
Admission fees depend on the age of riders and range between 32 ringgit to 68 ringgit (S$9.70 to S$20.50)
Another was seen writing, “Even with a safety net, riders still have a good chance of sliding into the afterlife”.
How morbid.
