The COVID-19 outbreak has had such a devastating impact on Hongkong’s showbiz industry that broadcasting station TVB could not offer any year-end bonuses or pay increments to its employees, including its artistes. Some even had to rely on financial aid to make ends meet.

Unfortunately, it looks like the situation may be worse than we thought. Recently, a veteran entertainment reporter revealed that there are currently over 600 Hongkong stars who are unemployed at the moment. Yikes.
