Raymond Lam’s ‘F&B Queen’ Mother-In-Law Reportedly Had A Net Worth Of “Hundreds Of Billions Of Dollars”
So those rumours of Carina Zhang being a gold-digger are probably not true.
It’s no secret that Hongkong actor Raymond Lam, 40, comes from an incredibly wealthy family. His dad, real estate tycoon Lam Kwok Ah, is often referred to as the Li Ka-shing of Xiamen and is estimated to be worth at least HK$2bil (S$348mil).
So naturally when Raymond started dating his now- wife, former Chinese lingerie model Carina Zhang, there were accusations that she, like his ex, Hongkong actress Karena Ng, was a gold digger.

But as it turns out, Carina’s mum Wang Shu Hong is quite a prominent figure herself, having made her name in China’s F&B industry.
According to reports, Shu Hong used to be in the catering business and was known for her outstanding culinary skills. She was also hailed as China's “F&B queen”. In her heyday, it was reported that she had a net worth of “hundreds of billions of dollars”, however, she could not sustain the business and it quickly fell into disarray.

It's said that she is equally ambitious when it comes to her daughter’s future. Rumours claim that Shu Hong had cultivated Carina’s interest in cooking, which explains why she's often seen cooking for Raymond, and also encouraged her to participate in beauty pageants.
Shu Hong also had a part to play in introducing Carina to Raymond. She's reportedly acquaintances with the Lams and the couple met through their parents.
