Qing Ming-Themed Music Video By M’sian Band Leaves Netizens In Tears
Feel like having a good cry today? Well, we know just the song for you.

You can always count on influencers from our neighbouring country to drop straight bops during the festive season, and yes, that now includes the Qing Ming Festival.
Malaysian band Steady Gang, which is formed by online personalities Haoren, Tomato, and Ahya, recently dropped a track specially created for Qing Ming, which is happening now.
Titled ‘Zu Xian De WiFi (祖先的WiFi)’ or ‘Ancestors' WiFi’ in English, the lyrics express the longing one feels towards their dearest departed, and the messages they would like to send late family members if WiFi existed in the afterlife.
The music video uses AI to show families spending time together and paying respect to their late loved ones at gravesites. It also includes snippets of the messages people wish to send to departed family members.
One such message reads: “I wish to hug my mum one more time.”
A particularly heart-wrenching scene features a girl posing for a photo. In the photo, she is seen sitting in between her father and grandmother, but in reality, it is shown that they are no longer by her side, and the girl was actually posing for the photo alone.
The ‘text message’ in the scene reads: “If I could, I wish to take a family photo with my dad and ah ma who are now in heaven. That’s the one thing I regret most."
According to Malaysian media, the messages and scenes in the video were inspired by actual comments left by Steady Gang’s fans.
The tear-jerking video has touched the hearts of many, with netizens flocking to the comments section to commend the band.
“I had to pause this video halfway because my vision started to get blurry from tears,” wrote one netizen, while another echoed: “I couldn’t hold back my tears… I miss you dad, are you well?”
Others reminisced on the good times they spent with departed loved ones, a number penning messages to their late parents and grandparents. Some also said the song reminded them of the importance of cherishing the time they have with people around them.
Who would have thought that a Qing Ming song would spark such emotion.
