Chinese Actress Qin Lan, 43, Said To Be Dating Her Mr Tang Co-Star, Wei Daxun, Who Is 10 Years Her Junior
The stars were said to have developed feelings for each other while filming the drama, which aired earlier this year.
Chinese actress Qin Lan, 43, who is best known for playing Empress Fucha in Story of Yanxi Palace, is reportedly dating 33-year-old actor-host Wei Daxun. Well, at least according to Chinese media.
The two were said to have developed feelings for each other while filming medical drama Dr Tang and have been reportedly dating for some time now.
A Chinese paparazzo who broke the news also claimed that the couple are in Sanya, a city in Hainan Island, for vacation and that he will soon post footage to prove it.
The news has caused quite a stir online, with Chinese netizens pitching in to do some of their own “research”.
According to said netizens, Qin Lan and Daxun’s IP addresses currently both trace back to Hainan, which basically lines up with reports of their vacation.
They also asserted that both stars are using “couple display pictures” — Qin Lan’s pic is of her left profile, while Daxun’s pic is of his right.
Apart from this, Qin Lan and Daxun were also said to have worn matching black caps when they attended the Wuzhen Theatre Festival.
During an interviewed, Qin Lan was full of praise for her rumoured beau, describing him as “a male god”.
Daxun, on the other hand, also complimented Qin Lan during his portion of the interview, describing her as “a gentle girl who likes to laugh”. He then added that “girls who like to laugh are usually met with good luck”.
Qin Lan dated Huang Xiaoming in the past, and she is one of the few women the actor has admitted to being with. The relationship was very lowkey and they dated for three years before splitting up.
Following that, she was in a five-year relationship with director Lu Chuan, but the two went their separate ways as Qin Lan was not ready for marriage.
Daxun, on the other hand, is said to be an “expert” when it comes to dating older women.
According to Chinese media, he was said to have dated an ‘actress whose last name starts with M’, who is 41 this year. His previous relationships were also with older women, only known by their surname initials, ‘Y’ and ‘Q’.
The actor was previously rumoured to be dating Qin Lan’s pal, Yang Mi.
Both Qin Lan and Daxun have yet to respond to the current dating rumours.
