Pursuit Of Jade Star’s Live Stream Abruptly Cut For “Skin Exposure” — Here’s How They Got Around It

Chinese actress Tian Xiwei is having a major moment right now thanks to hit period drama Pursuit Of Jade, but her recent livestream turned into an unexpected talking point for all the wrong reasons.

The 28-year-old star appeared in a pink bustier set while selling skincare products during a livestream.  

But midway through, the livestream was abruptly cut off for nearly 20 minutes, leaving fans stunned and confused.

The reason? Her outfit was flagged for “skin exposure violation”.  

When the stream finally resumed, viewers were greeted with a rather bizarre workaround — staff had clipped four of actress’ photo cards onto stands positioned in front of her chest to block the “problematic” area, and she occasionally held items to cover her cleavage. Only then was the live stream able to resume smoothly.

But that wasn’t the only issue fans noticed.

Many pointed out that her outfit appeared far too tight.

Despite her already petite frame (she’s rumoured to weigh just 35kg), the dress visibly dug into her sides and back, creating noticeable bulges.

Some viewers even commented that she looked uncomfortable and restricted in her movements.

The incident quickly sparked discussion online, with “Tian Xiwei squeezed by her dress” trending on Weibo.

Fans didn’t hold back, criticising her team for putting her in an ill-fitting outfit and accusing them of prioritising attention-grabbing looks over her comfort.

“She’s already so skinny, why make her wear something even tighter?” one comment read, while others said the whole situation turned the live stream into a “disaster”.

Despite everything, Xiwei remained professional throughout. She kept smiling, completed the live stream, and even recreated a famous line from Pursuit Of Jade, shouting “Honourable magistrate!” to delight fans.
