Korean singer-actor Park Yoochun got in major trouble last April when he admitted to purchasing methamphetamine with his ex-fiancé and using the drug on at least seven occasions. He was sentenced to 10 months jail with a two year-suspension. This means he only has to serve his jail sentence if he commits an offence while he's on probation. He was also fined 1.4mil won (S$1,600).

Prior to his sentencing, Yoochun had held a press conference where he denied all drug allegations and declared that he would “stop working as the celeb Park Yoochun and retire”.

Less than a month after his teary press con, his former agency, C-JeS Entertainment, terminated his contract as South Korea's National Forensic Service had obtained evidence that proved that the 33-year-old had abused drugs. They emphasised that Yoochun would keep to his word and retire from showbiz.
