With an increasing number of travel restrictions being put in place on a daily basis, people are finding it harder and harder to cross borders, even when it’s for something important.

Take Malaysian-born, Hongkong-based actress Jacqueline Ch’ng for example. She confirmed in February that she filed for marriage with her Taiwanese boyfriend Brian after dating him for less than a year. The 39-year-old’s husband is believed to be the CEO of a bubble tea chain.

Their romance raised eyebrows because the pair dated for only a short time, and that the three months that they spent together before he proposed was mostly spent apart because they're based in different cities.
