Chinese artiste agency ASE has come under fire for forming a boy band with members who are just boys.

The seven-member Panda Boys made their official showbiz debut on August 20, and according to reports, the oldest Panda Boy is 11, while the youngest is just seven.

Netizens have since accused ASE of “exploiting” young children who should be in school. Some have suggested that the company is trying to copy the success of TFBoys, who made their showbiz debut in 2013 when its members were between 12 and 13

However, the Panda Boys are significantly younger and so should not be “turned into money-making machines just to satiate the greed of adults,” say netizens.
