Hong Kong actor Oscar Leung ended up in the hospital last night as he suffered an accident while he was filming an outdoor scene for upcoming drama Flying Tigers. He was believed to have been rehearsing for a car accident scene when a real incident occurred.

The accident happened around 8pm, and Oscar, along with fellow actor Ron Ng, were filming in the bustling Wan Chai when Oscar was hit by a vehicle that was not part of the production team’s. He lay on the floor as he waited for emergency services to arrive at the scene, and was sent to Ruttonjee Hospital, which is in the vicinity, where he was whisked to the emergency room.

The 38-year-old spent about two hours in the hospital and was accompanied by his manager as they headed to Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital to get a second opinion after he was given the all-clear at Ruttonjee.

Oscar was spotted in a wheelchair as he exited Ruttonjee, with both his knees bandaged. Ron, who was also at the hospital, was asked about the extent of Oscar’s injury but only uttered a quick “Thank you” to reporters gathered.

In the wee hours of the morning, Oscar took to his Weibo account to assure fans that all is well. He posted a photo of himself, along with the caption, “I had a small accident while filming today! I know that everyone has been worried about me, so I’m thankful to all of you! I’ve left the hospital and am now resting at home. Thank you!”
