Olympics 2024 Emblem Said To Resemble A Woman With "A Big Head & Small Body".... Like Chinese Host Chen Luyu
The people who designed the 2024 Paris Olympic Games logo must have gotten their inspiration from somewhere or someone.
And who knows their muse might just be Chinese host Chen Luyu.
The new Olympics emblem, created by brand management agency Royalties, shows the silhouette of a woman with a chic bob.
It is made up of three components: the gold medal, the Olympic and Paralympic flame, and the bust of Marianne, which is the symbol of France.
But netizens were somehow reminded of their favourite showbiz icons when they look at the logo.
While Westerners thought it looked like Rachel from Friends, Chinese netizens, on the other hand, thought it resembled the 54-year-old Phoenix Television host.
Luyu is often regarded as "China's Oprah" and famously sports a side-parted bob.
Chinese netizens went on to describe the woman in the emblem as having a "big head and small body"... you know, just like Luyu.
After photo comparisons of Luyu and the Olympics emblem went viral, the host went on to comment about the resemblance via the official Weibo account of her talkshow, A Date with Luyu.
"To be honest, even I have been brainwashed [to think I look like it]," she quipped.
