Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang To Make Korean Variety Show Debut

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang is adding another item to his packed Korea itinerary.

Often dubbed the "Godfather of AI", Huang has confirmed his appearance on hit Korean talk show You Quiz On The Block, marking his first-ever appearance on a variety programme.

The show's producers announced today that Huang will be a guest on an upcoming episode hosted by comedian and Running Man star Yoo Jae Suk.

It is unusual for the tech titan to appear on an entertainment talk show, so it’s no surprise the news has already sparked a huge buzz online in Korea, with many netizens saying calling the appearance “unbelievable.”

The episode, which is expected to air later this month, will explore his journey from dishwasher to one of the world’s most influential tech executives, as well as his views on artificial intelligence, innovation and the future workforce.

The appearance comes as the Taiwan-born entrepreneur prepares to visit South Korea this week following Nvidia's GTC Taipei conference, and is expected to meet several of the country's top business leaders.

Huang has become a familiar and highly popular figure in Korea over the years.

Last year, he made headlines after meeting Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Jae Yong and Hyundai Motor Group executive chair Chung Euisun at a fried chicken restaurant in Seoul, a gathering that local media dubbed the "Kkanbu Summit".

He has also won over Korean fans with his enthusiasm for local food and culture. Just days ago, he joked that he hoped to squeeze in time during his visit to enjoy Korean fried chicken, ginseng chicken soup and grilled pork belly.
