Hongkong veteran actress Nina Paw, 72, is best known for playing mums or maternal figures, and her list of on-screen children includes A-listers Nick Cheung, Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok and Stephen Chow, to name a few.

As such, there were questions that had to be asked.

Which celeb does she have the most realistic mother and child relationship with? And which star would she want to have as her own child?

And her answer to that second question, which she revealed while speaking to the Hongkong press, is Cecilia Cheung, 41.

The two starred in 2003 Hongkong movie Lost In Time, in which Nina played Ceci’s mum.

“I think she’s a great young actress, we had great chemistry working together and seldom do i get a chance to meet such a clever actress.” Nina gushed.

She added that Cecilia was the first to send her masks, 500 in fact, when the pandemic struck. According to Nina, she “barely had enough space at home to store them” but it also showed her how "thoughtful" Cecilia is.

Although she comes from a long line of actors — her late parents were actor Bao Fong and late actress Liu Su — Nina expressed her relief that her only daughter has no interest in showbiz.

She said knew early on that her daughter has no talent for acting. "She's not suitable to be in the arts," said Nina, adding that her daughter is in marketing and she supports her career fully.
