Nicky Wu’s production company Strawbear Entertainment Group was officially listed on the Hongkong Stock Exchange (HKEX) on January 15. The IPO generated a huge interest in investors as the company was ranked fourth in 2019 among all Chinese drama producers and distributors. The company has produced shows such as 2016's Star April and 2018's The Legend of Zu 2.
Each share was offered at HK$5.88 (S$1.01) but prices jumped 93 per cent when trading started. At the end of the trading day, stocks closed at HK$10.80 (S$1.86), which was an increase of over 83 per cent.
