Netizens Shocked At How Andy Lau & His Brother, Who’s Reportedly Worth S$17mil, Look Nothing Alike

Thanks to Tak Shing’s shaggy appearance and casual style, netizens pointed out that it’s hard to tell that he’s so closely related to his more polished older brother.

According to reports, the two brothers are extremely close and have even launched their own production company together, with Andy filming the movies and Tak Shing in charge of post-production.

Tak Shing, who is married with one son and one daughter, also went on to invest in other projects, and is said to boast a net worth of over HK$100mil (S$17.1mil).

You wouldn’t be able to tell the size of Tak Shing’s massive bank account just by looking at him, though.

Besides favouring simple outfits such as a T-shirt and shorts, he often takes the bus when he goes out and has meals at simple cha chaan tengs (tea restaurants or Hongkong-style cafes). Looks like he can be friends with Simon Yam, Chow Yun Fat, and Maggie Cheung.

In fact, the entire family is known to live a low-key and simple life. Andy’s younger sister is said to be a teacher and has been spotted shopping at street markets, while his eldest sister, who is already in her 70s, has lived in Hongkong public housing for almost 30 years.
