Netizens Mock '80s Hongkong Idol Max Mok For Performing In Ill-Fitting Suit

In the video, Max can be seen dressed in a black suit that’s clearly seen better days. While some netizens noted that the 60-year-old seemed to have really taken good care of his skin, praising his glowing complexion, others zeroed in on Max’s attire.

“Max ge, have you fallen to such a dire stage?” one questioned, while another wrote: “You’d have looked better in a t-shirt and jeans, compared to this suit”.

Others weren’t so kind with their words, with one netizen taking offence at the fact that the suit was a little wrinkled.

“Did you dig out this suit at the very last minute, so you couldn’t even iron it?” he questioned.

Another netizen also mused: “If you hadn’t abandoned [Hongkong actress] Catherine Hung, you wouldn’t have ended up like this”.

Catherine and Max broke up in 2000 after dating for three years. She then gave birth to their son, Ashley Zhang, in Canada the same year.

Max also has a 10-year-old daughter, Mok Zhi Yan, from his marriage to Chinese singer Sun Yunling. He was awarded sole custody of her in 2016, after the couple divorced.

According to reports, Max now earns a living through these mall performances, and even once lamented that he’s unable to rest on public holidays ‘cos that’s when the malls are at their busiest.
