Netizens Are Amazed At How Tall Gigi Leung’s Daughter, Who Just Turned 6, Already Is
Sofia inherited some great genes from her 1.76m-tall mum and 1.85m-tall Spanish dad.
For some reason, the children of celebrities seem to have height on their side — just look at the kids of Jay Chou, Wu Chun, Angelababy, and Simon Yam, all of whom have made waves for how tall they are. Even 1.62m-tall Wong Cho Lam’s baby daughter looks well on her way to outgrowing her dad.
The latest celeb kid to cause a stir with her height is Sofia, the six-year-old daughter of Hongkong singer-actress Gigi Leung and her Spanish husband Sergio Crespo Gutes.
According to reports, Sofia was already 1.4m-tall when she was just five years old and was the tallest in her class.
This shouldn’t really come as a surprise, though, given that her mum and dad are said to be 1.76m and 1.85m tall respectively. And in Gigi’s latest pic of her little girl, we get a better sense of just how much and how fast Sofia has really grown.

During Chinese New Year, the 44-year-old posted a few photos of herself and Sofia paying respects to their ancestors at the Ling Wan Monastery. In the first shot, Sofia is seen standing in front of Gigi, with the top of her head already reaching her mum’s chest.
We’d like to add that at the time the photo was taken (Feb 12), Sofia hadn’t even celebrated her sixth birthday yet, which was over two weeks later on February 28.
As expected, netizens went crazy heaping praise on Sofia, leaving comments like “She is so tall”, “My daughter is a few months younger than yours, but the height difference is really big”, “Mother and daughter have the same long legs”, “She can be a supermodel next time”, and “She will definitely be taller than her mum in the future”.
Much was said about Sofia’s Pan-Asian good looks as well, such as “Gigi’s daughter’s eyes are so beautiful”, and “The entire family’s attractiveness levels are off the charts”.
