Back in March, there were rumours that Li Bingbing’s boyfriend, 31-year-old investment banker Hsu Wen Nan, was blackmailing the 47-year-old actress with private photos that had been taken without her consent. The extremely detailed accusations went on to claim that Wen Nan was 10mil yuan (S$1.98mil) in debt, and that Bingbing had refused to help him financially. He then allegedly threatened to release intimate photos of her that he secretly took in the past. The rumours then claimed Bingbing gave Wen Nan 1mil yuan (S$198K) before breaking up with him.
A livid Bingbing flatly denied the allegations, saying that she would take legal action against those who were perpetuating the rumours.
