Myolie Wu Found Out Online That Her Husband Had Hugged Her Ex Bosco Wong: "They Don't Know Each Other"

Earlier this month, netizens couldn't stop talking about the viral moment Bosco Wong shared a hug with his ex-girlfriend Myolie Wu's husband, Philip Lee, during a chance encounter in Kuala Lumpur.

Turns out, Myolie was one of the last people to know about it.

In a recent interview, the 46-year-old actress, who married the British-born businessman in 2015, revealed that Philip never mentioned the encounter to her.

"He didn't tell me. I was scrolling online and saw: 'Hey, what's going on?' Then I jokingly told him: 'Such a huge thing and you didn't tell me!'" she laughed.

Apparently, the interaction was so insignificant to Philip that he simply "forgot about it".

"To him, it's something very normal, like bumping into a friend, so there was no need to purposely bring it up to me. So I think it's quite funny," said Myolie.

Interestingly, Bosco and Philip didn't even know each other before their now-viral encounter.

"They don't know each other, but I think with how advanced social media is now, people see each other online or in the news all the time," she explained.

Myolie admitted she was surprised when she saw the hug, but didn't think much of it.

"I was surprised! But I think it's fine. It's been so long, and we're all adults. It's a very normal social interaction," she said.

She added that she has never actually bumped into Bosco herself.

And if she did?

Myolie, who shares three sons — Brendan, six, Ryan, four, and Liam, two — with Philip, said she certainly wouldn't avoid him.

"I'm already married with kids, and I wish him all the best."

When asked if Philip knows about her high-profile eight-year relationship with Bosco, which ended in 2012, Myolie was amused.

"Of course he does!" she said. "The entire Hong Kong knows [he's my ex-boyfriend], there's no way [my husband] doesn't know."

Fair point. It's not exactly obscure Hong Kong showbiz trivia.
