'Most Beautiful Xiao Long Nu' Carman Lee Turns 55, Says She Really Likes It When People Call Her "Gu Gu"

Hongkong actress Carman Lee, who recently celebrated her 55th (!) birthday, has been captivating audiences with her beauty ever since her turn as Xiao Long Nu aka the Little Dragon Girl in the 1995 TV adaptation of wuxia novel The Return Of The Condor Heroes.
And now, some 26 years on, Carman says she still feels very pleased whenever people call her "Gu Gu" (or 'aunt' in Mandarin), which was how Yang Guo addressed Xiao Long Nu.

“Actually, I’m not sick [of the nickname] at all, I really like hearing you guys call me this, as long as you call [me 'Gu Gu'], I’ll continue answering you,” she wrote.
She went on to add that for an actress to have a role that is still remembered by the audience after so many years is “a great honour”.
And of course, netizens acceded to Carman’s wishes, wishing their 'aunt' a happy birthday on Weibo.
“Gu Gu! I was afraid that you wouldn’t like us calling you that,” one netizen wrote, with Carman replying: “How is that even possible? Thank you for continuing to like [me]”.
