Moses Chan packed his bags with a heavy heart in March when he had to travel to Shenzhen to shoot the sequel to 2019 hit medical drama Big White Duel.
Even before his trip, the 50-year-old told the media that he might have to “make up for” missing his wife Aimee Chan and their daughter Camilla’s birthdays on April 1 and April 27 if he could not return to Hongkong in time to celebrate.

Last week, Aimee shared photos from Camilla’s fifth birthday party, including one family pic that showed Moses on a video call.
Moses later told Hongkong media that he had to stay in China longer because of work commitments, and that he would only be home in early May.
“After that I’ll be in quarantine for a few days,” he explained. “I will constantly look out for any symptoms 'cos I want to make sure that I'm healthy when I reunite with my family."
When he was asked about his earlier promise to make things up to Camilla, Moses said: “I missed my princess’ birthday, so I would definitely have to buy her a gift.”
