Rumours Claim Eric Tsang Pulled Strings To Help Miss Hong Kong 2021 Contestant Get 2nd Runner-Up; He Says She Wouldn’t Be 3rd If It Were True

The rumour started when Eric was spotted taking a photo for Kristy and a couple, whom many assumed were Kristy’s parents, after the finals. This got everyone talking as they felt it was beneath someone of Eric's position to be reduced to a cameraman. So Kristy must be someone special to him right?

Also, many people felt that Kristy was underserving of a place in the top three as there were other girls, including Eddie Kwan’s daughter Fabienne, who they felt performed better. So Eric must have pulled some strings for Kristy right?

When Kristy was asked about this rumour, she quickly clarified that her parents didn't attend the finals, and the only family member who had gone to support her was her sister.

She also revealed that the couple that she had taken the photo with were sponsors of the pageant, and that they were the ones who requested for a photo because she had helped the woman fix her hair.

Eric also denied the rumours in typically humorous fashion: “Wouldn’t it be terrible if I had used my connections to help her and she only got third place?”
