Miriam Yueng Gives Liza Wang Over-The-Top Gift Box To Make Up For “Cheap Mooncake” Drama From 3 Years Ago
We guess Miriam never really got over the hate comments.

TVB Ah Jie Liza Wang, 75, is known to do unboxing videos during the Mid-Autumn Festival. This year, her fans took special notice when she unveiled one from good friend Hong Kong singer Miriam Yueng, 49.
“Wow! There are so many items here!” exclaimed the veteran as she proceeded to show the items within the luxurious-looking box from the five-star Rosewood Hong Kong hotel.
She ended off with a message thanking Miriam for the Mid-Autumn Festival gift even though she's now based in China.

The box contained a total of nine items that included champagne, scallops, canned abalone, chocolates, egg rolls, XO sauce, mushrooms, tea and of course… mooncakes.
The video garnered many comments, with some bringing up an incident that happened three years ago.
Here is a little context: Three years ago, Miriam experienced a barrage of online hate for daring to gift the veteran, Liza admittedly plain-looking mooncakes.

Some even felt she was “disrespectful” towards the older actress, especially since Miriam had previously posted that she had received designer mooncakes from luxurious brands such as Louis Vuitton and Dior.
She would later thank Miriam for gifting her a Gucci T-shirt and diamond earrings though netizens were not convinced and felt the appearance was too forced to be truly genuine.
Who knew a simple gift of mooncakes could garner one so much hate?
