Ming Dao Just Sold S$29.7mil Worth Of Beauty Products On A Live Stream; Crowned "King Of Sales"

This time around, the 40-year-old is in the news again for being... a really good salesman. According to reports, Ming Dao was invited by his Taiwanese actress pal Zhang Ting to go on DouYin to sell beauty products. Within the first 40 minutes, 40,000 sets were sold, which equates to NT$85mil (S$3.9mil) in sales.

By the end of the night, he had generated a whopping NT$640mil (S$29.7mil) worth of sales, which led netizens to crown him, duh, the 'King of Sales'.
Prior to the broadcast, Ming Dao admitted that he was “very nervous” about his maiden attempt at live auctions, and revealed that he had watched the live streams of other more experienced stars for inspiration. He also ended up purchasing a massage chair for his parents after watching one such broadcast, which happened to have been by Zhang Ting.

Netizens have heaped praise on the actor for not just being knowledgeable on the products he was selling but also for providing honest and detailed reviews on them. One commented, “I was giving him my money, but I felt like I was the one who profited off this transaction. I guess that’s how good he is.” Another added, “He really has the talent for this. I think I’d buy anything he asked me to purchase, even if I’m 100 per cent sure I will never use it in my life.”
