Michelle Yeoh’s 83-Year-Old Mum Looks So Young

Yes, Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, 60, is someone who is not afraid to yell at the producers of the Golden Globes to “shut up” after they tried to play her off while she was giving her acceptance speech, but there’s just one person she’ll never dare to cross — her 83-year-old mum.

Over on Instagram, Michelle made a post on February 5 celebrating her mum, Janet Yeoh.

The comments section was filled with comments praising Janet for her youthfulness, with a couple of netizens marvelling that Michelle and Janet “looked like sisters”.

"Oh that’s where you got your beauty from,” another netizen added.

"So does everyone in your family look 30 years younger than they actually are?” yet another netizen questioned.

Others couldn’t help but to recall the hilarious anecdotes Michelle had previously shared about her mum.

In a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Michelle, who won Miss Malaysia in 1983, revealed that she only took part ‘cos of her mum.

And no, her mum didn’t waste any time trying to persuade Michelle.

Instead, Janet took matters in her own hands, and forged Michelle’s signature on the application form for the pageant, getting her a place at the auditions.

"I did it to shut her up. Because she wouldn’t stop about it, so we had a deal. If I do this, you will never do something like this again,” Michelle laughed.
