In March, Ipoh-born actress Michelle Yeoh, 60, made history by being the first Asian woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars.

The Everything Everywhere All At Once actress dedicated her award to her mother during her acceptance speech, and mentioned that she would be taking the Oscar home to her.

Yesterday (Apr 12), Michelle shared a pic of her mum Janet holding her Oscar proudly on Instagram.

Brought Mr.O home…. Without my parents' love and trust and support… I wouldn’t be here today… love so much ,” wrote Michelle

In another photo, the actress could be seen paying respects to her late father, Datuk Yeoh Kian Teik at his grave at Paradise Memorial Park in Perak, while someone holds her Oscar in the foreground.

Her dad passed away in 2014 at the age of 89.

According to reports, Michelle was in Malaysia during the Qing Ming Festival, which fell on Apr 5 this year. She was also there to celebrate her mum’s birthday, and has since left for Hong Kong.

She will be returning to Malaysia again next week to greet her fans at an event titled Pride of Malaysia Michelle Yeoh Homecoming Public Fan Meet in Kuala Lumpur on Apr 18.
