Former Hongkong actress Michelle Reis may have bowed out from the showbiz industry years ago, but fans and the media are still very much invested in the day-to-day activities she posts on her socials, whether she’s playing guitar in her very posh home, going topless on vacation, or even making questionable hairstyle changes.
The 50-year-old beauty also shares photos of her family from time to time, although one recent shot of her nine-year-old son Jayden Max had some netizens up in arms over how improper they thought it was.

Earlier this week, Michelle uploaded a picture of Jayden enjoying a bubble bath on her Instagram Stories. Although only the boy’s head and hands can be seen (that’s seriously a lot of bubbles), some folks questioned if it was appropriate for Michelle to photograph her son, who turns 10 in February, while he is in the middle of a bath.
“Isn’t it inconvenient for him to still be taking a bath with his mum when he is already so old?” reads one comment, while another went as far as to say that Jayden “might grow up to be unhappy” (seriously?). Others also called it “a bit weird” and pointed out that Michelle should respect her son’s privacy.

This isn’t the first time Michelle's interaction with her son has sparked controversy. In 2014, she shared another picture of a three-year-old Jayden in the bath, with her sitting behind him in a bikini. Then, two years later, she put up a snap of herself kissing him on the lips, with the caption “My little lover”.
Both posts earned her criticism from disapproving netizens, who deemed it inappropriate for her to do such things, and the photos have resurfaced ‘cos of the current saga.

However, there were also those who stood up for Michelle and slammed the naysayers for being nosy and kicking up such a fuss.
“How do you live with constantly controlling other people’s children and lives?”, “This is very normal”, “Is there a problem with someone kissing their own child on the lips?”, and “Oh my god, I cannot stand these silly people” are some of the remarks made in support of Michelle.
