“Did You Offend Your Stylist?”: Netizens Slam Michelle Chen & Guan Xiaotong’s Outfits At Golden Rooster Awards

The 35th Golden Rooster Awards show was held last Saturday (Nov 12) in Xiamen, China.

The prestigious awards ceremony, which is said to be China's equivalent of the Oscars, saw many celebs decked out in their most fashionable and eye-catching outfits.

Well, maybe not actresses Michelle Chen, 39, and Guan Xiaotong, 25, both of whom found themselves on top of the worst-dressed list.

Michelle stepped onto the red carpet in a black floor-length gown adorned with silver details and a halter-neck design. She also paired the look with silver heels and a bright red lip.

Netizens did not take to the look, and left comments on her pics saying it was the “worst styling” that night.

One netizen asked, "Did you offend your stylist", while another said her thick make-up made her "lose the sweet and innocent vibe [she] used to give off”.

Unsurprisingly, “Michelle Chen’s outfit” quickly became a trending topic on Weibo.

Another star whose outfit didn’t quite hit the mark for netizens was Guan Xiaotong.

The popular Chinese actress, who is rumoured to have married former EXO member Luhan, was dressed in a long-sleeved cropped shirt and a floor-length bodycon skirt.

Many netizens found the outfit unflattering and said that Xiaotong's team must have felt the same way as the pics she later shared on Weibo were excessively photoshopped.
