Married Professor Dubbed “Wang Leehom Of The Education Field” Accused Of Having Affairs With 12 Women

A scandal has taken over the National Taipei University of Education (NTUE), involving a Professor of Language and Literature, Hsu Yu Chien.

According to Taiwanese media, Hsu is a well-known educator who helped author textbooks, and frequently gave talks across Taiwan. He was popular and respected in his discipline, and with his clean-cut image, drew many admirers.

He was even dubbed the “Wang Leehom of the education field”.

However, Hsu, who is married, has now been accused of having extramarital affairs with at least 12 women, including teachers, principals, and students.

A woman, known as Ms A, first accused Hsu of exploiting his frequent lecture trips to engage in multiple affairs with women in the education sector. Ms A was once part of what she called his “harem”, but soon quickly became suspicious after noticing his inconsistent behaviour.

Upon further digging, she found out that Hsu was purportedly involved with 12 women at the same time, meeting them at hotels, hot springs, and their homes.

According to her, on one occasion, he allegedly spent the night with three different women over five days, and even met with two in a single day.

Ms A mocked Hsu as having demonstrated “astonishing stamina”, and claimed that at least five women were known to have stayed the night at his home within just three months.

His long list of illicit partners were said to include colleagues, influencers, female writers, and even those working in rival publishing houses.

Taiwanese media had allegedly caught him on dates with different women

Then there's Ms B, who also used to be romantically involved with Hsu and has stepped forward with her story.

She described him as a “serial manipulator”, and said he often had a “standard routine” for seducing women he would allegedly pursue them relentlessly and shower them with affection, then abruptly lose interest once he was no longer excited by them.

Ms B condemned his pattern as “classic scumbag behaviour”.

Ms B, who is also an educator, met Hsu at a seminar for teachers years ago. They exchanged contacts, and he reached out two years later to reconnect. He began texting her daily, and though she was married at that time, she was eventually swayed by his advances and began an affair.

She later discovered another woman, Ms C, who was also involved with Hsu, after they met by chance at one of his lectures.

After verifying some details, Ms B and Ms C said that they found that Hsu seemed to prefer married women, likely because they were less likely to expose him publicly.

He was said to have stayed in touch with his exes, giving them false hopes of reconciliation so he could continue having them in his pocket.

According to Ms B, Hsu often complained of an unhappy marriage, saying he could not live with his wife. He would share cooking and gym selfies to portray a likeable image of himself, and invite women to his home by saying he would cook for them. This, more often than not, led to sexual encounters between Hsu and his “targets”.

Ms B, appalled and disgusted by Hsu’s actions, decided to expose him publicly to prevent other women from being deceived. She also asked that NTUE and the Ministry of Education look into the matter, and urged that the university not dismiss his misconduct as merely a “personal matter”.

When contacted by the media, Hsu reportedly denied all the accusations, calling them “completely fabricated”. He also claimed that he recently suspected someone had planted a tracking device on him, adding he had already filed a police report regarding the matter.

And it looks like he's allegedly been caught in the act more than once
Will the university be able to take any action against him?
