Mario Ho and supermodel wife Ming Xi welcome first child

Chinese supermodel Ming Xi and the son of casino tycoon Stanley Ho, Mario Ho, have just welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

The couple dated for two years before announcing their engagement in May this year. At that time, reports speculating that Ming Xi might be pregnant were published, with pictures of the svelte 30-year-old reportedly sporting a baby bump at their engagement party.

While they chose not to respond to any of the reports at that time, Mario’s social media post yesterday (Oct 24) confirmed the good news.

“My wife, Ming Xi, and I have just levelled up, to become parents,” he wrote. In his caption, he also revealed the full name of their bundle of joy, Ronaldo Ho Guang Shen. The post was accompanied by pictures of the new parents cradling their son, surrounded by their friends and family.

Ronaldo is the first grandchild for Mario’s father. “My dad will turn 98 next year. To me, he’s just like an omnipotent superman. When I was younger, he was able to fulfil every single one of my wishes. However, he had just one wish that he was not able to fulfil [until now], and that was to be able to carry his grandchild. Today, I’m happy to tell him, he has a grandson! His wish has finally been fulfilled. [This is the start of] our family’s fifth generation!” Mario wrote in his caption.

He went on to share that Ronaldo has taken on the last character of Stanley’s Chinese name, as a special gift from Stanley to his first grandchild.
