Man Asks Why "Lower Income People" Love Filming Plane Landings, Gets Roasted Online

Let's be honest: if you specifically picked the window seat, you're probably going to spend at least part of the flight staring out the window.

Maybe it's the clouds. Maybe it's the sunset. Or maybe you're filming the landing for your travel vlog.

Whatever the reason, recording take-offs and landings has become something of a travel tradition.

Which is why one X user's attempt to mock a fellow passenger didn't exactly go as planned.

The man, who goes by @mil000, posted a photo of the passenger seated in front of him filming the plane's landing and wrote: "Why do lower income people love to record airplane landings so much?"

The post has since racked up more than 32 million views.

Instead of agreeing with him, the internet immediately spotted one rather awkward detail.

He was sitting right behind the passenger... in the same economy cabin.

"Why are you seated behind the lower income person on the plane?" one user asked.

Others piled on by posting photos from business class and private jets, poking fun at him for looking down on another passenger while appearing to be flying in the same section of the aircraft.

And honestly? If we're paying extra for a window seat, we're making full use of it.

Sunrise, sunset or touchdown... you'd better believe the phone is coming out.
