M'sian Nasi Lemak Stall Seeking Woman Who Accidentally Paid $795 For $7.95 Meal
Hands up if you are like this writer who has on more than one occasion added an extra zero to the amount when paying for food.
It seems I’m not alone, with someone in Malaysia paying 100 times more for a plate of nasi lemak.
A picture posted to Facebook saw Kuala Lumpur-based Botak Nasi Lemak taking to social media with a CCTV screenshot of the customer paying at the counter.
According to owner, Koji Chen, they had received 2,600 ringgit (S$795) for a 26.60 ringgit (S$7.95) bill.
Koji also appealed to their followers for help and wrote, “Help us find them so we can return the remainder to them! We’re not an Omakase!”
Of course, the post soon caught the attention of netizens who jumped into the comments declaring that they were the customer, with one even sharing his account number.
Someone even tried to justify the amount and commented that it could be a “really generous tip.”
Now, that is just being overly optimistic, especially in this economy.
