Malaysian actor Fauzi Nawawi has apologised for his inappropriate remarks on shooting rape scenes after a clip of his interview resurfaced on Tuesday (Oct 19).

The 48-year-old made the comments on an episode of talk show Rumah No. 107 which aired in June.

During the show, the host asked Fauzi, who is best known for playing villains, if he preferred doing robbery or rape scenes.

Fauzi replied: “When people say I look like a rapist, I feel more excited to act out the scene. In the [2007] film Anak Halal, there was a scene in which I was raping Raja Farah. She was wearing tight shorts and her legs were spread out. The crew was all watching us, we were all sweating. I was trying my best to control my tiredness and lust.”

He added that he had to control his facial expression to avoid looking like he was enjoying the process.

Raja Farah Aziz's family had reportedly requested for the scene to be removed after watching the preview. The actress was not even 20 at the time.
