Love Story Of Mainland Chinese Man Marrying His Landlady Who Is 20 Years Older Goes Viral

This story proves that you can find love in the most unexpected of places and in the most unexpected of people.

A Mainland Chinese man in his 20s had moved from his hometown to Shenzhen in hopes of starting his own business. However, he quickly realised that things weren't as easy as he thought it would be. 

A few years after his move, he reached a point where he had trouble paying his rent. 

Luckily, he had an understanding landlady, who agreed to extend the deadline for him to pay up.  

The landlady, who is in her 40s, was a divorcee, and she often asked the man for help with certain chores. 

Through their multiple interactions, the man felt like he had finally experienced warmth in an unfamiliar city. 

He then started to pursue the landlady. 

The landlady was hesitant about starting a relationship with a man who was almost the same age as her son. She was also afraid about how others would see them and so she turned down his advances. 

But we all know where this story is going. 

Despite their 20-year age gap, the man persisted in wooing her. 

The landlady eventually fell for him and they began dating and tied the knot soon after. 

And just like that, the young man, who didn't have a career, became a landlord overnight. 

Their love story has since gone viral on Chinese social media and when speaking to the media, the man emphasised that they were “truly in love” and their relationship “had nothing to do with money”.
